Kalpa situated at the height of 2758 m above the sea level and 110 km from Sarahan, Kalpa is a beautiful and main village of Kinnaur. Across the river faces the majestic mountains of the Kinner Kailash range. These are spectacular sights early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and golden light.
Kaza 210 km from Kalpa 47 from Tabo. The headquarters of Spiti sub-district, Kaza is on the bank of river Spiti. In earlier times, it was the capital of Nono, the chief of Spiti. It has a Buddhist Monastery and Hindu Temple.

2 Nights 3 Days Unique Shimla Tour
Day 1:- Transfer From Chandigarh to Narkanda
After Arrival transfer from Chandigarh to Narkanda via Shimla,Naldehra.Half day localsightseeing of Hathu Peak.Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 2:- Transfer From Narkanda to Sangla
After Breakfast morning drive for Sangla via Sarahan and Mata Bhimakali temple.Overnight stay at Sangla.
Day 3:- Local Sightseeing of Chitkul Sangla Valley
After breakfast we will Sangla, Kamru village and make a small walk to visit Kamru Fort which has a temple dedicated to Kamaksha Devi. Sangla a populous village, situated on the right bank of the Baspa River, is famous for its high fertile soil, at an elevation of 2621 m above the sea level and falls at a distance of 17 km from Karcham. It is built on a slope with the house rising one above the other the scene being closed by the gigantic Raldang Peaks towering behind. Chitkul is a village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. The Indian road ends here. The Baspa valley is the prettiest valley in the Himalayas. Its terrain and green vegetation on the slopes are not very steep. A populous village situated on the right bank of the Baspa is built on a slope with the houses rising one above the other with gigantic Kinner Kailash peak domination the scene. Overnight stay at Sangla.
Day 4:- Sangla to Kalpa Local Sightseeing 2,759 metres / 9,048 feet (40 kms/ 2-3 hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel you will be driven to Kalpa village (2-3 hrs.) Enroute we will stop at Recongpeo and will have a walk around the local market. Recongpeo is the district headquarters of Kinnaur district. We will have lunch in a local restaurant where you have a choice to enjoy Indian or Tibetian food. After lunch we visit the Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages are covered with thick pine forests and are famous for apricots and apples. The finest view of the Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain (6000 metres) can be had from here. This is a spectacular sight early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light. Kalpa is situated at an altitude of 2759 m from the sea level, on the old Hindustan Tibet Road at a distance of 260 km from Shimla. Earlier it was the District Headquarter of Kinnaur. It is 14 KMS. It has all the characteristics of a heritage village. Kalpa came into prominence in the wake of British Governor General Lord Dalhousie's visit in the 19th century. Overnight in hotel in Kalpa Valley.
Day 5:- Kalpa to Tabo 3,050 metres / 10010 feet (190 Kms / 9-10 hrs)
After breakfast we will drive you to Tabo ( 9 -10 hrs.). Enroute we will drive you through Puh and Nako. We will visit Nako Lake and village and will have lunch in Nako. Later we continue our drive to Tabo en route visit the Gue village which is also the last Indian village on Indo-Tibetan boarder. Here we will be visiting the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk which is about 600 years old, which was discovered here while building the road. Later on reach Tabo and check in to your hotel. Today we will be entering the beautiful Spiti valley which is also known as the cold desert of the Himalayas (this area is cut from rest of the world due to heavy snow in the winters).
Day 6:- Tabo to Kaza 3,200 metres / 10,500 feet, (150 kms / 9 hrs)
After breakfast we will visit the Tabo monastery which is the oldest monastery in the Himalayas. Later we will drive you to Kaza (3 hrs.) En route we will visit the Dhankar village and Dhankar monastery and fort. Here we will have a cup of tea or lunch with a local family. Later on we continue our drive to Kaza where you will check in at your hotel. The evening is free to explore in the Kaza market.
Day 7:- Sightseeing around Kaza (5-6 hrs)
Today after breakfast we will be driven to the village of Lagnza. Here there is an opportunity to walk around the village. You may wish to visit the monastery at the top of the village and on the way look out for fossils. Here you can also see the yak working in the fields or yak grazing in the pastures. If weather permits there is an option drive on to Hikkim, and the Comic village, which is now the world’s highest village (4,450 metres) joined to a motorable road. Later we will continue our drive to Kee Monastery and the village of Kibber. Once Kibber (at 4,200 metres) was considered the world’s highest village. There is also the option to walk to the nearby mountains where there are big herds of Himalayan blue sheep and snow ibex gather in the evening. Lunch will be at Kibber village, in a local restaurant, where you will be offered a choice of delicious Tibetan dishes. In the evening we will return to Kaza for a second night at the hotel.
Day 8:- Kaza to Kalpa
After Breakfast drive for Kalpa via Tab0,Nako.OverNight stay at Kalpa.
Day 9:- Kalpa-Shimla
Today after breakfast we will drive for Shimla via local beauty of Kinnaur via Jeori, Narkanda, Kufri & Shimla Dropping.Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 10:- Shimla Localsightseeing
After leisurely breakfast Morning half day tour visiting Kufri ,Green valley. Afternoon tour visiting Indian Institute Of Advanced Studies, Sankat Mochan Temple and Jakhu Temple. Evening free to stroll in the famous The Mall which is main shopping area of city, The Ridge and the bustling Lower Bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11:- Shimla-Chandigarh
Today morning after breakfast we will drop you at the Chandigarh railway station/Airport.End of memorable tour and services.
