Kinnaur - the land of fairy tales and fantasies, has a spectacular terrain of lush green valley, orchards, vineyards, snow clad peaks and cold desert mountains. It is a border district of Himachal Pradesh.

Kinnaur, the tribal district of Himachal Pradesh, lies 250 km away from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh and is situated on the NH - 5 (Hindustan Tibet Road). The landscape of the area varies from lush green orchards of the scenic Sangla Valley to the stark magnificence of the Hangrang Valley.

Kalpa is one of the biggest and beautiful villages of Kinnaur. One can enter Kinnaur district at Village Chshora and follow a straight line road constructed in vertical rock and it is a rare treat to travel on this road which is a great engineering feat.

Kinnaur has many tourist places which is very famous like TABO, for lake, KAZA, KEY GOMPA, KIBBER, DHANKAR, PIN VALLEY, KUNZAM PASS, CHANDER TAL LAKE.

Kinnaur Valley Tour Package Itinerary

Day 1:- Transfer From Chandigarh to Sarahan

After Arrival transfer from Chandigarh to Sarahan.Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2:- Transfer From Sarahan to Sangla

After breakfast at your hotel, we will visit the famous temple of Bhimakali at Sarahan. This is the same temple in which human sacrifices were made about two centuries ago. After visiting the temple we will continue driving to Sangla (4-5 hrs) where you will check in at your hotel or could also choose to stay in fixed luxury tented accommodation. After lunch you will be taken on a walk through Kamru and Sangla villages ( 1-2 hrs) and we will visit the beautifully carved old temples and Buddhist monasteries. You will have plenty of opportunity to speak to the local people in these valleys. The Sangla valley is also known as the Baspa Sangla valley, after river Baspa which flows through the valley and it is the part of Kinnaur valley. Overnight in hotel in Sangla.

Day 3:- Local Sightseeing of Chitkul Sangla Valley

After breakfast we will Sangla, Kamru village and make a small walk to visit Kamru Fort which has a temple dedicated to Kamaksha Devi. Sangla a populous village, situated on the right bank of the Baspa River, is famous for its high fertile soil, at an elevation of 2621 m above the sea level and falls at a distance of 17 km from Karcham. It is built on a slope with the house rising one above the other the scene being closed by the gigantic Raldang Peaks towering behind. Chitkul is a village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. The Indian road ends here. The Baspa valley is the prettiest valley in the Himalayas. Its terrain and green vegetation on the slopes are not very steep. A populous village situated on the right bank of the Baspa is built on a slope with the houses rising one above the other with gigantic Kinner Kailash peak domination the scene. Overnight stay at Sangla.

Day 4:- Sangla to Kalpa 2,758 metres / 9,048 feet

After breakfast at the hotel you will be driven to Kalpa village (2-3 hrs.) Enroute we will stop at Recongpeo and will have a walk around the local market. Recongpeo is the district headquarters of Kinnaur district. We will have lunch in a local restaurant where you have a choice to enjoy Indian or Tibetian food. After lunch we visit the Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages are covered with thick pine forests and are famous for apricots and apples. The finest view of the Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain (6000 metres) can be had from here. This is a spectacular sight early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light. Kalpa is situated at an altitude of 2759 m from the sea level, on the old Hindustan Tibet Road at a distance of 260 km from Shimla. Earlier it was the District Headquarter of Kinnaur. It is 14 KMS. It has all the characteristics of a heritage village. Kalpa came into prominence in the wake of British Governor General Lord Dalhousie's visit in the 19th century. Overnight in hotel in Kalpa Valley.

Day 5:- Transfer From Kalpa to Sarahan

Checkout from hotel and proceed to Sarahan.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6:- Sarahan-Chandigarh

Today morning after breakfast we will drop you at the Chandigarh. End of memorable tour and services.
